Brazilian Cinnamon Fudge Cake

A simple to prepare chocolate fudge that would melt in the mouth without much difficulty. It is a perfect addition after a meal as a great dessert. 

Preparation time: 5 minutes
Cooking time: 8 minutes

Idle time: 2 hours


Butter, to grease the pan
1 can of sweetened condensed milk
2 teaspoons of ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
2 cups of bittersweet chocolate chips
2 tablespoons of unsalted butter, cut into ½ inch pieces, at room temperature
Kosher salt, to taste, optional


  1. Grease the butter in the baking pan.
  2. Line the basement of the pan with parchment paper. Allow the excess of the paper to overhang from the sides of the pan.
  3. In a medium bowl, mix condensed milk, cinnamon, and vanilla extract.
  4. Add chocolate chips and butter. Stir well.
  5. Put the bowl in a saucepan containing boiling water. Allow the chocolate chips to melt. This will smoothen the mixture. Takes about 8 minutes.
  6. With the help of spatula, spread the mixture into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  7. Sprinkle salt, if required.
  8. Refrigerate the mixture for at least 2 hours.
  9. Remove the pan from the refrigerator and run a warm knife around the corner.
  10. Remove the fudge carefully onto a cutting board.
  11. Peel the parchment paper and cut the fudge into desired pieces.
  12. Store the pieces in an airtight container and refrigerate in the freezer.
  13. Serve chilled and season with chocolate chips.
