1 teaspoon of vegetable oil
3 cups of shredded cabbage
1 tablespoon of cornstarch
½ teaspoon of ground ginger
1/4th teaspoon of garlic powder
½ cup of water
1 tablespoon of soy sauce
Salt, to taste
Method:
- Wash the chicken breasts thoroughly.
- Cut the breasts into thin strips.
- In a cooking pan, add oil and heat it on medium flame.
- Add the chicken strips to the oil and flip continuously to avoid over-burning. Continue the process until the pieces are cooked.
- Add shredded cabbage to the pot and sauté for 5 to 10 minutes or until cabbage becomes tender.
- Add water, cornstarch, soy sauce and seasonings to the mixture. Stir well and cook until they become tender and smooth.
- Stir well to coat the sauce to the chicken pieces evenly on all the sides. Allow them to cook for about a minute during which the sauce thickens. Add salt to taste (if required).
- Serve in a bowl with brown rice, fruits and milk to make it a complete meal.
