Pasta with Pancetta and Pecorino

The tomato based sauce with spaghetti is a perfect addition to the main course. Preparation of the dish is easy and affordable.

1 box of spaghetti
4 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
1 medium yellow onion finely chopped
½ cup of diced pancetta
400 gms of plum tomato finely chopped
1 cup of pecorino cheese grated
2 tablespoons of fresh marjoram chopped


  1. In a large cooking pot, bring fresh water to boil. 
  2. Add olive oil in a saucepan and heat on medium flame. Add onion and cook for 5 minutes until it turns to golden brown color. 
  3. Add pancetta and continue to cook for another 5 minutes on medium flame. 
  4. Add tomatoes, salt and pepper. Stir well and cook for another 5 minutes.
  5. Cook spaghetti in another bowl. Follow the instructions provided in the box. 
  6. Drain the water and add the spaghetti to the sauce. 
  7. Add cheese and marjoram before serving.
