Chocolate Brownie

Chocolate brownie is a great addition as a desert for any meal during a day. It is a simple recipe that is soft in the middle and crunchy on the outside.

Cooking Time: 20 minutes

125 g of butter
1 ½ cups of caster sugar
1/2 cup of cocoa
Two eggs
1 teaspoon of vanilla essence
1/4th teaspoon of salt
1 cup of plain flour
1 teaspoon of baking powder
1 cup of white chocolate bits

  1. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter on a low flame.
  2. Add sugar, cocoa, salt and vanilla and stir thoroughly.
  3. Remove the saucepan from the heat and allow to cool at room temperature.
  4. Whisk in the two eggs quickly.
  5. Add baking powder and sifted flour.
  6. Add white chocolate bits and mix thoroughly.
  7. Add the mixture to a greased slab tin using a spoon.
  8. Place the slab tin in microwave oven and bake for 25 minutes at 170°C.
  9. Remove the slab tin from the microwave oven and allow it to cool to room temperature. Even though the mixture seems soft, it becomes hard when it cools down.
  10. Cut into pieces and serve with chocolate sauce as seasoning.
