Chicken Tequila Fettuccine

Yellow, red and green reflect the vibrant nature this dish offers. It’s a wonderful recipe and relishes the taste senses.

Serving: 4


1 packet of fettuccine pasta
3 tablespoons of soy sauce
1/3rd cup of chopped cilantro
1 1/4th skinless, boneless chicken breast cut into halves and probably cubes
2 tablespoons of minced garlic
1/4th red onion finely chopped
2 tablespoons of minced jalapeno peppers
1 red bell pepper sliced thin
3 tablespoons of butter
½ yellow bell pepper sliced thin
½ cup of chicken stock
½ green bell pepper sliced thin
3 tablespoons of tequila
1 ½ cups of whipping cream
2 tablespoons of fresh lime juice


  1. In a saucepan, add cilantro, garlic and jalapeno pepper with 2 tablespoons of butter. Cook on medium flame for 5 minutes
  2. Add chicken stock, lime juice and tequila to the mixture. Bring it to boil and cook on medium flame until the mixture reduces to paste like thing. Keep it aside. 
  3. Pour soy sauce over the boneless chicken breast and keep aside for 5 minutes.
  4. In a saucepan, add remaining  butter, onions, red, yellow and green bell peppers. Cook on medium flame until the onions turn to golden brown color. 
  5. Follow the directions provided in the packet of fettuccine to cook it. 
  6. Add chicken and soy sauce to the bell pepper and onion mixture. Toss the chicken and add remaining tequila and cream. Bring the entire mixture to boil over medium flame. Simmer it for about 15 minutes or until the chicken is cooked. 
  7. Drain fettuccine and add it to the chicken mixture. Serve hot.
