Worked in Bakery section  in making the bread rolls, focassia multi grain breads, specialty breads, croissants, danish, muffins, doughnuts, pizzas mini pizzas mainly for lunch, dinner  breakfast & gala buffets. Handled roast section with different varieties of meat like beefsteak, , chicken, rabbit. P
repared cheese and cold cuts in buffet preparation section. Also got an opportunity to work in the vegetable section and was responsible for section as prepared roast, chateau, baked, lyonaisse, mashed, dauphine, ducheese potatoes.

Focaccia (Italian Bread)


Focaccia is a kind of bread that is very popular in Italy. The taste of this product is very authentic. It is mainly seasoned with salt, at times herbs and olive oil.  Focaccia can be used as a starter or a snack item. It can be used as a bread for a sandwich or pizza base.

Preparation Time: One hour
Cooking Time: 15 minutes
Servings: 01-02 portions

Ingredients required for preparing Focaccia:
150-200 gms flour (all purpose)
Half tablespoon white sugar
One tablespoon yeast (dry)
Half tablespoon powdered garlic
Half tablespoon oregano (dried)
Half tablespoon thyme (dried)
Half tablespoon basil (dried)
A pinch of black pepper (powdered)
One tablespoon oil (vegetable or refined)
Two tablespoons oil (Olive)
One tablespoon grated Cheese (parmesan)
100 gms mozzarella
100 ml- 150ml water
Salt as per taste

Preparation Procedure:

  • In a big container, pour flour,yeast,salt, sugar,oregano,basil, garlic powder, black pepper, thyme, vegetable oil and water. 
  • Stir it well and prepare a smooth dough, mix the dough till it comes together. Once the dough is ready to place it in a bowl, add the oil coating to the dough and cover it with a clean white cloth. 
  • Leave it aside for about 20-25 minutes.
  • Preheat the oven for about 230degreesC. Punch and place the dough on a baking sheet apply a little oil on the sheet. Pat the dough into a rectangular shape each portion should be half an inch thicker. 
  • Grease a little olive oil on the top. 
  • Sprinkle the item with mozzarella or parmesan cheese.
  • Bake the bread in the oven for 15-20 minutes, till it turns to be brown (golden) in color. Now, the Focaccia is ready to be served. It tastes delightful when it is served hot.

If you are fond of bread products, then you will definitely relish this snack item. It is a best dish for evening refreshments. If you have a guest arriving at your place, you can just decorate the focaccia with some toppings and serve it hot. You can serve one or two portions depending upon the size of the bread.

Traditional Bruschetta


Do you wish to change the taste of your tongue and wish to relish something modernistic then you must try cooking “Traditional Bruschetta”. This is a famous Italian starter. 

If you are a food enthusiast, then you will definitely love this dish. Italian dishes are anyways favorite of many. If you are bored of eating the routine dishes every day, then you can try out something new and authentic. The recipe of Traditional Bruschetta is very simple. The preparation procedure is easy-going. If you wish to make something new for your family, then this dish can term out to be a special one. 

This Italian starter is prepared by using bread slices, the slices of bread are coated with garlic steeped olive oil, after which the bread is toasted and topped with a delightful assortment of garlic, basil, tomatoes, red wine vinegar or (lemon juice) and shallots. This dish can be taken evening snack or a starter.

Cooking time: 20 minutes
Servings: 12 slices

Ingredients for preparing the authentic Traditional Bruschetta: 

8-9 tomatoes (hybrid quality), cut into dices
2-3 red onions, finely chopped
A bunch of basil (fresh)
3-4 diced garlic cloves
Vinegar red wine ½ cup
Olive oil ½ cup
Pepper and dash salt (one)
Single long French loaf of bread (Sliced)

Procedure :

  • Chop the tomatoes, garlic, red onions and put the mixture into an average sized vessel. 
  • Place the mixer aside and then wash and chop the basil leaves, keep on cutting till the leaves are finely chopped.
  • Once, the chopping is done, add them to the mixture that is placed in the container. 
  • Add olive oil, salt pepper and red wine vinegar and Stir well. 
  • Once the mixing procedure is completed, place the container aside. 
  • Meanwhile, Toast or grill the bread until it becomes crispy and light brown. 

It is a unique snack for parties and for other special occasions like festivals, casual get-togethers etc. If you have kids in your house, then it is for sure that they will enjoy having this dish.
